I am standing as the Reform UK candidate for Wootton Bridge because I want our community to
get better value for money, better services and a stronger voice in County Hall. I have visited the
Island for over 30 years and have lived here for the last few, so I know both why people love this
place and why so many are frustrated with how it is being run.
My background is in technical and creative work as a professional video editor, used to handling
complex projects, tight deadlines and limited budgets. I want to bring that same practical, problemsolving
approach to the council: less spin, more straight answers, decisions based on evidence and
value for money rather than party games.
People in Wootton Bridge and across the Island keep raising the same issues: the cost of living and
council tax, difficulty accessing basic services, and roads and infrastructure that too often feel like
an afterthought. Reform UK believes councils should stop treating residents as a never-ending cash
machine and instead cut waste, renegotiate poor contracts and focus on essentials first. That is
exactly what I will push for if elected.
• Sensible control of council spending so we protect key services without constant above-inflation
tax rises.
• A tougher line on chaotic roadworks, poor traffic management and the way big utilities and ferry
operators impact Island life.
• More attention to older residents and families who feel they are not being listened to when
services are changed or withdrawn
I am not a career politician; I am a resident who wants common-sense decisions, honest
communication and proper scrutiny of how every pound is spent. As a Reform UK councillor for
Wootton Bridge, my priority will be simple: put local people first, challenge waste and
complacency, and make sure our ward is not just talked about at election time, but properly
represented throughout the council term.
