Name: Bob Seely
Party: The Conservative Party
Bob has served as the Island’s MP since 2017, fighting to get a better deal for each and every Islander and to make sure the Island’s voice is listened to.
Bob comes from a West Wight family with six generations of service behind them. He lives near Brighstone.
Bob served in the UK Armed Forces on the Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and ISIS campaigns. He was decorated with a Military MBE in the 2016 Operational Awards and Honours List by her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Bob is passionate about championing the Island. Bob has helped deliver £175million of extra investment since he was elected, working with others such as the Council, the NHS and voluntary and local groups across the island as part of a team effort to deliver a better deal for the Island.
He’s campaigning for:
- More jobs and investment
- Saving the Military Road from Council inaction.
- Protecting our greenspaces from Labour’s plans to concrete the countryside,
- Delivering the upgrades at St Mary’s Hospital and to the NHS on the Isle of Wight.
In his spare time he loves cooking – he posts his Bob’s Bread recipes on Facebook – and plays the guitar.
His ambition – apart from getting re-elected – is to play the local bands tent at IW Festival and drive in the Sandown Sprint.
