I moved to the Isle of Wight when I was 9, spent most of my schooling on the Island. In 1972 went to catering college Newport IW. Bought our Guest House in 1989 and traded successfully since, despite the challenges of Covid and recent fuel price rises.

Since the huge landslip December 7th Ventnor has lost one of it’s main roads into the town, whilst in the early days it was necessary to close this road along with other roads in and around Ventnor, it has become a real issue being closed.
My priorities:
- Expand and support our slowly disappearing long-term care services and making more beds available whether by reopening wards or building new purpose-built ones.
- Improving care services on the island through better pay for carers.
- Seeking Funding to Deprived Areas on the Island.
- Seeking Level Up Funding for Coastal Resorts
- Making Private Landlords More Responsible for their Properties
- Helping Young People to Buy their Own Properties with Government backed Guarantees on House Mortgages so that they can buy a house, (Many Rents paid are more than a repayment on a mortgage)
- All New Builds to have Solar Panels Installed Or the equivalent to save energy
- Make the Most of our Water resources on the Island, Certainly on the South Side of the Island Borehole tests have proved that we could become self sufficient.
- Cleaning up the Seas with Heavy Fines to the Water Companies who continue to dump sewage in the Sea and Rivers
- Making sure the Island attracts the best qualified Teachers to the Island by better pay.
- Heavy Fines for Fly Tipping
- Making sure the Island Plan works for Island People
- Looking into Cross Solent Ferry Services and Costs
- Better Rail Infrastructure by once again exploring a Rail/Tram connection to Ventnor and Newport.
- Support for Youngsters who take up Sports on the Island through helping to get funding for facilities
