Sarah Morris - Reform (Isle of Wight East) - Isle of Wight Vote

Sarah Morris – Reform (Isle of Wight East)

Name: Sarah Morris
Party: Reform UK

I have lived on the Island my entire life and served as a sub-postmaster in Ryde for six years.

The Post Office scandal highlighted the devastating impact of failing institutions, a pattern we’ve seen repeated under successive governments over the past two decades.

These administrations have made numerous short-term political decisions that have led to significant errors.

Reform UK is the only party with policies specifically designed to address these issues.

We aim to:

  1. Slash Government Spending Waste: Reform will cut unnecessary government spending.
  2. Raise the No-Taxation Threshold: Individuals earning up to £20,000 a year will be exempt from taxation.
  3. Abolish Unfair Small Business Rates: Reform will eliminate these rates and introduce a 3% online sales tax to ensure large international companies pay their fair share.
  4. Strengthen Border Security and Economic Planning: Our government has neglected these areas, often prioritizing international organizations over UK citizens’ quality of life.
  5. Ensure Proper Oversight of Core Infrastructure: Reform proposes 50% government ownership of essential infrastructure, such as our ferries, to prevent price exploitation when there are no alternatives.

It is time to bring common sense back to politics.

I believe our Island has the potential to lead the way.
