I am retired bus driver and live on the island with my wife and our two dogs. I know the area of Newport West and how many families have chosen to move here because of its location and community facilities. But there are real worries about road safety and speeding, and concerns about any further house building and loss of green spaces for wildlife. My priorities for the IW Council include tackling the issue of expensive ferries which have prices too high for many islanders. I would also prioritise access to an NHS Dentist, as too many of us cannot get appointments as most dentists have gone private.
