Bill Nigh

Dear Residents of Lake North I would like to thank you again for your support and trust in last October’s by-Election.

I am however going to have to ask you again for your assistance.

As you are no doubt aware following legal action initiated by Reform the May 7th Local Elections are now going ahead albeit 12 months late.

Reform will be contesting all 39 Wards. If successful, then the real work can then commence and I believe that we can finally make a difference locally to the benefit of Islanders.

Following my election by you last October, Reform was able to create a new group within the Council’s committee system gaining seats on no less than seven different committees together also with Full Council where I have a 100% attendance record.

I have also been a regular attendee at Parish Council and have enjoyed meeting and working with many of you there.

Reform has held fast in opposition to the school closures on the Island and has proposed greater communication and transparency regarding the dreadful disconnect between Island Roads and residents, which is something I can take much further with your help and assistance.

We will also investigate the matter of the current cost of cross Solent travel and what can be done to help our high streets.

Finally, I strongly believe that more needs to be done regarding vandalism and antisocial behaviour in Lake. There is no such thing as low-level crime and so called ‘shoplifting’ is theft. I pledge that I will continue to work with the local policing team to make Lake North a safer place to live.

Vote Reform and let’s get started..
