My name is Craig Dabbs and I am the Reform UK candidate for Ventnor and St Lawrence.
I have had two careers that would be defined by service to our great country. My journey began with a calling to the military, where I served with honour and discipline for fourteen years. My experience in the armed forces instilled in me a strong sense of duty, leadership, and accountability, which remained central to my ethos throughout subsequent chapters of my life.
After leaving the military I transitioned seamlessly into the police service where I served for 15 years, dedicating many years to safeguarding communities and upholding law and order. My time as a police officer was marked by unwavering commitment to the community I served, professionalism, and a calm presence in challenging situations.
Upon retiring 10 years ago from the police my wife and I moved to Ventnor where I embarked on a new adventure, establishing a small business that operates all over the Isle of Wight. Driven by entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to contribute to my local community, I now run a thriving small handyman business that reflects my values of integrity and hard work.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, keeping bees, exploring the scenic landscapes of the Isle of Wight by land and sea. I love taking part in local events and will be doing the first part of walk the Wight on the 10th May this year.
It is great privilege to live on the Isle of Wight and it would be a great to serve Ventnor and St Lawrence as your councillor.
I look forward to working tirelessly with a likeminded group of people to resolve the issues that the residents of Ventnor and St Lawrence have and working relentlessly to turn this lovely Island of ours around.
