I was born in 1961 into a military family and spent many of my early years travelling with the Army around the world. This experience gave me my strong sense of commitment and service.
I hope to bring real world experience and a strong commitment to the residents of Cowes and Northwood. I served for 21 years in the Metropolitan Police Service in London. During my time in the police, I developed an understanding of the community’s needs, problem-solving, and the importance of building trust with residents.
After my service in the police, I joined a medical supplies company in the role of a sales representative and went on to start my own company in 2012, supplying surgical instruments to both the NHS and private sector.
I retired in 2021 and moved to Cowes on the Isle of Wight, where I have tried to integrate into the community. I am a member of a local sailing club, and I volunteer each week at the Cowes Food Bank, which helps me understand first hand some of the challenges people face in my area and more widely on the Island.
I am committed to being a hard-working and approachable advocate for the community, its residents and local businesses, and will strive to the best of my ability to effect change where possible for the benefit of everyone.
